This scene represents the Deutsh Bonnet team at the Le Mans race in 1955 (in the background you can see Mike Hawthorn's Jaguar and Juan Manuel Fangio's Mercedes). these small cars achieved excellent results in the Index (power/cylinder ratio) and were running at an average of 140 km/h with an engine of barely 700 cc. They are the ancestors of the Djet brand and the prestigious Matra team. Paul Armagnac, shown here with his helmet under his arm, is the man who created the Nogaro circuit in the Gers. This circuit bears his name today.
