For model year 1973 the Carrera RS (Renn-Sport) came out with a 2.7 litre engine and 210 hp. This was meant for racing but could also be used on the street. With the RS everything was done to reduce weight. The RS is clearly recognisable by its characteristic spoiler on the back of the car, a so called "ducktail".
