Fiat

In 1899, the Società Anonima Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino was founded in Turin, on the initiative of Giovanni Agnelli. He became general manager of the firm in 1902. In 1900, the first 24 cars were produced at the Corso Dante factory, including the 3/12HP. The FIAT logo was designed by Biscaretti in 1904.

Early on, FIAT was successful in car racing. In 1902, Vincenzo Lancia won the Sassi Superga with a 24HP. Agnelli himself was also active as a driver, driving the second Tour of Italy.
