Gilles Villeneuve

Gilles Villeneuve, born on 18 January 1950 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, and died on 8 May 1982 in Louvain, Belgium, was a Canadian racing driver. He won six Grands Prix, all with Ferrari, and finished on the podium thirteen times. His spectacular driving style and tragic death in qualifying for the 1982 Belgian GP have made him one of the legends of Formula 1.
